The children enjoy drawing pictures after dinner on Mark Making Monday. Developing our hand muscles and controlling our hand as it moves helps our brains get ready to write letters and words and numbers in Primary 1. To do this children will need lots of experiences to help develop their tripod grip needed to hold a pencil and form letters and numbers. That's why we build with Lego blocks, paint with brushes and take our shoes off and on and lots more as well. All these activities help our hands get ready to write!
